My Story
SimpleFinances started with a frustration I couldn't shake: hardly any of us are taught how money actually works. We ask students to take on enormous debt before anyone has shown them how to borrow, budget, or plan for it — and then act surprised when they struggle.
I've watched people fight just to cover their daily bills, with little hope of ever getting ahead — of saving, of affording something nice, of having the room to do what they love. I've watched others reach retirement with almost nothing to lean on. That breaks my heart, because it doesn't have to be this way.
Personal finance isn't actually that hard. A few simple steps, started early, can change the entire shape of a person's life. I built SimpleFinances to hand you those steps — the information that matters, personalized to your situation — without making you spend hours of research to find them. Money should free you to follow your passions, not hold you back from them.
